Cancelled due to lag.

Working:
One level + boss
Pause menu press P or UP arrow key + left click
Move with mouse, fire missile holding right arrow key and clicking

The inspiration was J-shooters and how there is many many bullets on screen.

However I am using parts of this engine for my new similar game. Coming soon. Eventually.

Amazing stuff!!!

Although I can't seem to beat the last boss or die on that level...

Very impressive engine! The only J-shooter I've played is Ikaruga XD

When was this released, damn it I need to watch deviations more lol

I see what you mean about the lag, there is a lot going on and flash can't handle it, especially actionscript movement of mcs with filters - nasty stuff!

You need to play a game for the PS2 called R-Type Final before you attempt another one of these games, then we could team up and own all space shooters in the flash genre ;)

Can you try holding the up arrow key and left clicking during the game then turning everything off and tell me if it still lags please?
