April 30 MAJOR EDITING COMPLETE. BUGS FIXED AND FEATURES ADDED. PLEASE STOP SUBMITTING YOUR SCORE AS "ENTER NAME HERE" I added a mute feature, lowered the cost to continue, and fixed the continuing bug. getting the gems is now more accurate, and the game is fully anti cheat. you can even click now! I realized a few people weren't to fond of not being able to click. Hope this update has made the game enjoyable for everyone now! A few of you may also have noticed I reset the highscores. I appolagize, the game is fully fixed now, it's now fair. ____________________________________________ Woo. it's finally here, it was quite a bit of work, now with all new features. I was very angry because flash was submitting the html of the variable name instead of the text of it, but I fixed it and it works. Enjoy! AWh man , that's soo addicting, awesome job, his is excellent!!!!
The only point, personnaly, I find that the collision lags , it didn't detects the collision immediately when you hit something, But your game is Super -- --::..::-- I automatically watch anyone who watch me.... --::..::-- And I'm a good critic! SO why don't you comme and try my games??? Thank you so much for to playing my game! Follow the bananas! I like this one because the shapes are better and you gave more attention to the animations. It's just a little annoying to press Menu when you lose and see the rules again. I would play more times if i was back to the game.
-- Sloorp for PiXELS Awesomeness>> Oh my god this is fantastic. Such a huge improvement from the previous game. I still find it slightly annoying that you can't continue the level when you fail, and replaying from the menu forces you to watch the rules again, but otherwise this is really well done. Excellent presentation and use of sound.
If I can be bothered I'll write my first critique for this tomorrow because I think it deserves one. -- "Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica." looks cool and the music is awsome! four things i think need fixing is the option to turn music off completely (if the player wanted). when you go back to the menu, you start on song number one so if you were listening to another one, it cuts it out and you have to start it again. make a skip button for the rules or just go to the first level screen when you start over
very nice job! Brilliant work!
-- There is a special place in hell for game designers who put tricky jumping puzzles right after a boss battle with no save point in between. #LolPokeHug The game has greatly improved since SHFG3.
There are alot less bugs, and the jewels got more attention. Too bad you can't switch the music off ( You can put that as 1 maybe? ) But nontheless, this is a colorful awesome game. Got 820 points now anyway. -- ''Critical thinking is the key to success.'' - Professor Layton. |

Critiques
The premise of the game is hardly original; it doesn't take a genius to notice that this game follows, and was perhaps inspired by, the popular maze-like Flash games where one has to move their cursor through narrow pathways, avoiding obstacles until they reach the end. But that is by no means a bad thing - in this day and age originality and innovation are risky and sometimes pointless when you can simply make an enjoyable game. And this is what ZEGMAN's accomplished; making a good, ol' fashioned, fun game. He's drawn from a popular and successful formula and added a touch of personality to it. And personally, that's what I look for when I play Flash games; something that is fun over something that's original.
The sound fits well with the gameplay and pace; you have three songs to choose from and they all involve some heavy techno beat to nod your head to. One could benifit from an inclusion of some kind of mute button but it's not too much of a problem.
Coding has been done well and there's not any huge errors, although I would've liked to be able to continue the game after I fail, rather than being booted to the main menu. Continuing, it can be rather frustrating to see the unskippable rules pop up everytime I want to try again. And as mentioned above, it could have done with a mute button for those who want to listen to their own music whilst they play. Collecting gems can be fiddly at times, but this may have been because I was playing using a laptop touchpad. With all this being said, however, the coding is done well enough: unlike most similar Flash games it's impossible to cheat through the levels and it works enough to get you to the end (or however far you can get).
Overall, this game is a huge improvement over Steady Hand Flash Game 3 and perhaps the best of the maze-like games out there. If you're looking for some time to burn it's a good game but there's not much more ZEGMAN can build upon to improve this. Add a mute button, make a 'continue-for-free-for casual-players' button and that's as much as one can really go with this style of game.
All in all, good work as usual ZEGMAN. I look forward to your future Flash projects and really hope that people enjoyed this game as much as I did.
